The use of syntax scores as a tool to assess the complexity of coronary artery disease is crucial, especially in this context. Furthermore, the fibrinogen to albumin (FAR) ratio has emerged as a biomarker that plays a vital role in inflammation and coagulation, which has a linear correlation with syntax scores, making it a potential tool to assess the severity of coronary lesions. This study aims to determine the relationship between fibrinogen ratio and albumin in predicting the severity of coronary arterial lesions in NSTEMI patients.

Research Methodology: A Descriptive Analytic Study with a Control Case Study Design

This research is a descriptive analytic study with a control case study design. The study was conducted at Adam Malik Hospital Medan from February 2023 to June 2023, involving 52 NSTEMI patients. Of this amount, 26 patients (50%) showed moderate to severe coronary lesions, while 26 other patients (50%) had coronary lesions that were not severe. Fibrinogen and albumin ratios were measured before the patient underwent coronary angiography. Syntax scores were calculated based on the results of coronary angiography carried out. To assess the relationship between the two variables, a Bivariate and ROC analysis was carried out to evaluate the ability of the fibrinogen ratio of albumin as a predictor of the severity of coronary lesions.
