Methodology

This study used a quantitative approach with an associative design. Researchers took samples from USU FISIP students who used iPhones, with a total of 50 respondents. The sampling techniques applied include accidental sampling, purposive sampling, and snowball sampling. The data collected is then analyzed using a single table analysis, cross table, and hypothesis testing through the Pearson Product Moment correlation and the T. Test.

Results

The results of the analysis showed that there was a strong relationship between the iPhone brand image and the purchasing decision of USU FISIP students. The correlation coefficient (R) value reached 0.732, which indicated a positive influence. Of the three factors contained in the Brand Image - Corporate Image, User Image, and Product Image - found that the image product has a dominant influence on purchasing decisions. This is evidenced by the results of the T test showing the value of t count of 3,664 with a significance of 0.01 p-value, which is smaller than 0.05.
