Results and Discussion

Furthermore, the SEM analysis shows that the surface of the specimen with a good fiber distribution tends to have little defects and void size between 5 to 50 μm. This shows that the orientation and setting of fiber affect the final quality of the composite board.

In testing the ability of the flame, the composite board with a percentage of 20% coconut fiber fiber shows optimal results, with the resistance of fire reaching 654.5 seconds at a distance of 5 cm. This indicates that the use of coconut fiber fiber can improve the fireproof nature of the composite board.
