Introduction

Necis Group, a leading company in the convection business, has been facing challenges in maintaining consistency of product quality. This study aims to analyze the effect of motivation, job satisfaction, and work discipline on employee performance in Necis Group Medan.

Background

Necis Group is a company that combines several business units in the fields of convection, tailors, transactions, and contractors. The company has a major focus on the rapidly growing convection business, producing high-quality finished clothing for government agencies, SOEs, and school uniforms in Medan and Nangroe Aceh Darusalam. However, like other manufacturing businesses, Necis Group faces challenges in maintaining consistency of product quality. Errors in the production process often result in product defects, affecting the company's reputation and bottom line.

Research Methodology

This study uses descriptive research with multiple linear regression survey and analysis methods to understand the effect of internal factors such as motivation, job satisfaction, and work discipline on employee performance in Necis Group Medan. The study revealed that 92.5% of the performance of the Necis Group employee was influenced by the three variables, while the remaining 7.5% was influenced by other factors that were not examined.

Results

The results showed that work discipline has the greatest influence on employee performance, with a coefficient value of 0.640. This indicates that work discipline plays an important role in maintaining product quality and minimizing production errors. Motivation, on the other hand, gives the smallest influence on employee performance.

Discussion

The findings of this study provide a clear picture of the key factors that need to be considered in improving the performance of Necis Group employees. To achieve more optimal performance targets, Necis Group needs to focus on strategies that encourage increased work discipline. The study recommends the following strategies:

Strengthening Work Discipline Culture

Building an effective supervision and evaluation system: The application of transparent and fair supervision and evaluation systems can encourage employees to always maintain work discipline.
Providing training and skills development: Training that focuses on improving employee skills and knowledge, especially those related to the production process, can improve efficiency and reduce errors.
Creating a conducive work environment: A positive and supportive work environment can motivate employees to work more disciplined.

Increase Job Satisfaction

Creating a fair payroll system: Fair and transparent payroll systems will provide a sense of appreciation and satisfaction for employees.
Providing opportunities for career development: Providing a clear career path and opportunity for professional development will motivate employees to work better and make positive contributions.
Respect for leisure time and a balance of work-personal life: Respect for rest time and providing flexibility of work time can increase employee job satisfaction.

Building Employee Motivation
