Introduction

The world of entrepreneurship is rapidly evolving, and the interest of students in pursuing entrepreneurial ventures is on the rise. However, understanding the factors that influence student entrepreneurial interest is crucial in developing effective strategies to foster this interest. This study aims to explore the effect of entrepreneurship principles on the interest of students in entering the business world. Specifically, we examine the influence of characteristics such as creativity and innovation, risk taking, patience, independence, and sensitivity to the market on student entrepreneurial interest.

Background

Entrepreneurship is a vital aspect of economic development, and the role of students in entrepreneurship cannot be overstated. Students who are interested in entrepreneurship can contribute significantly to the growth of businesses and the economy as a whole. Methodology

This study involved all stambuk management students in 2012 (totaling 349 people) as the research population. The data was collected and analyzed using the linear regression method through SPSS software. The results show that together, the variables of creativity and innovation, risk taking, patience, independence, and sensitivity to the market, have a significant influence on student entrepreneurial interest.
