Introduction

Heavy metal pollution has become a significant environmental concern worldwide, with iron metals (Fe) and lead (Pb) being among the most hazardous pollutants. The mixture was then dropped into a 2 M NaOH solution, producing a black gel. After being dried, this cuo chitosan was mixed with zeolite, then added 100 ml of distilled water and 50 ml of 1% acetic acid, stirred until evenly distributed and dried again.

Characterization of Cuo Chitosan

The cuo chitosan produced was analyzed to find out the functional group using the FTIR spectrophotometer. The results showed the presence of functional groups that are responsible for the adsorption of heavy metals.

Adsorption Studies
