Three other journals showed an increase in concentrations of 1% and 5%. However, there was one journal that reported a decrease in effectiveness at a concentration of 3%, 5%, and 7%.

Discussion

Based on the information obtained from the selected journals, it can be concluded that the concentration of silicone dioxide nanoparticles is 1%, 3%, and 7% produces relatively low flexural strength and surface hardness on the base of RAPP artificial dentures. Meanwhile, a concentration of 5% SiO2 shows the most significant increase in flexural and surface hardness. This confirms that the selection of the right nanoparticles concentration is very crucial to improve the mechanical properties of the material.

Conclusion

The results of this systematic study suggest that the addition of silicone dioxide nanoparticles (SiO2) can improve the flexural strength and surface hardness of the base of heat polymerization resin denture (RAPP). The optimal concentration of SiO2 that can achieve this improvement is 5%. This study highlights the importance of considering the use of SiO2 nanoparticles in the development of denture materials. With the right use, this nanoparticles can significantly increase the strength and durability of artificial dentures, thus providing long-term benefits for patients.
