Lingga Village, located in Simpang Empat District, Karo Regency, is a treasure trove of rich cultural heritage, including the use of traditional kitchen equipment. This study delves into the lexicon (vocabulary) of traditional equipment of the Karo Kitchen Kapiter in Lingga Village through an ecolinguistic approach, which explores the intricate relationship between language, culture, and the environment.

Methodology

This study employs a qualitative method, utilizing data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, notggling, fishing, and recording methods to gather comprehensive information. The data analyzed consists of nouns and verbs representing the lexicon of traditional kitchen equipment. The referential match method is used to analyze the data.

Results

The results of this study reveal 35 types of traditional Karo kitchen equipment in Lingga Village, categorized into three groups:
