Introduction

The isolates were then cultured on Bushnell Haas Broth media with shaking conditions (110 rpm) at room temperature (28 ° C-33 ° C) to measure their ability to degrade carbofuran. The results showed that all isolates were able to use carbofuran as a source of carbon.

Of the 10 isolates tested, two selected isolates, namely NF 2 and NF 8, were further tested to determine their effectiveness in degrading carbofuran in the soil. The results showed that NF 2 isolates succeeded in lowering carbofuran levels to 76.65% within 21 days, while NF 8 isolates recorded a decrease of 70.75%. This indicates that the two isolates have a high potential to reduce pesticide residues in the soil.
