This study aims to evaluate the relationship between blood glucose control and diabetic nephropathy events in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, using hemoglobin levels of giant (HBA1C) as an indicator of glucose control. This indicates that the more uncontrolled blood glucose levels, the greater the risk of experiencing diabetic nephropathy. Odds ratio of 8,357 shows that patients with uncontrolled diabetes have a risk of increasing levels of 8.4 times compared to those who are controlled.

However, no significant relationship was found between the length of diabetes with diabetes and diabetic nephropathy events, with the value of P = 0.681. This shows that even though suffering from diabetes has the potential to contribute to the development of nephropathy, the blood glucose control factor is more influential on that risk.
