Introduction

In today's fast-paced business world, entrepreneurship education among students has become increasingly important. The University of North Sumatra's Faculty of Economics and Business Management Study Program is no exception, as it aims to produce graduates who are not only knowledgeable but also equipped with the skills and mindset to succeed in the business world. This study aims to analyze the effect of entrepreneurial, personality, and environmental knowledge on entrepreneurial desires among students of the Management Study Program at the University of North Sumatra.

Entrepreneurial Knowledge: The Foundation of Entrepreneurial Success

Entrepreneurial knowledge refers to the understanding of various aspects related to the business world, such as management, marketing, and product innovation. Students who have good knowledge about entrepreneurship tend to be more confident and able to identify business opportunities. With adequate knowledge, they can formulate a more mature business plan and respond to challenges that might arise. Research shows that the higher the level of knowledge of student entrepreneurship, the greater their desire to enter the world of entrepreneurship. In fact, a study by the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) found that students with higher levels of entrepreneurial knowledge are more likely to start their own businesses.

The results showed that the knowledge of entrepreneurship, personality, and environment had a positive and significant influence on the desire of students to entrepreneurship. With this information, the university can formulate programs that are more effective in increasing knowledge and encouraging entrepreneurial enthusiasm among students.
