Introduction

This study aims to analyze the feasibility of constructing a PLTBG by utilizing liquid waste from oil palm factories, namely Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME).

Background

Palm oil factories in Indonesia generate a significant amount of waste, including POME, which is a liquid waste with high organic content. POME is rich in nutrients and can be used as a raw material for biogas production. Biogas is a renewable energy source that can be used to generate electricity, heat, and fuel. The payback period is around 4.17 years, which means that the project will break even in approximately 4.17 years. The net present value (NPV) of the project is Rp 162,052,638,815.04, which shows that the project is very profitable and feasible to implement.
