Among patients with a safe CSOM type, the majority experienced mild hearing loss (22.2%), while in patients with unsafe CSOM types, moderate hearing loss was found (33.3%). This study shows that there is a significant relationship between the type of CSOM and the type of hearing loss (p = 0.017) and the degree of hearing loss (p = 0.009).
