Research Methodology

This study employs a qualitative approach, utilizing the Entire Detailed Frame Angle Time (EDFAT) method developed by the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Telecommunication from Arizona State University. The underlying theories of this research include communication, mass communication, photography, and mass media. By conducting a univariate analysis of one variable, this study seeks to describe the characteristics of a journalistic photo variable raised.

The subjects of this study consist of 26 journalistic photographs published in the Kompas daily during the demonstration period in Egypt.
