Blood pressure measurement is a fundamental aspect of medical diagnosis, and accurate readings are essential for effective treatment and management of hypertension. The standard cuff method, also known as the auscultatory method, involves wrapping a cuff around the patient's arm and inflating it to a pressure that exceeds the patient's systolic blood pressure. The cuff is then slowly deflated, and the point at which the sound of the blood flowing through the artery is first heard is recorded as the systolic blood pressure. This method has been widely used for decades, but it has its limitations, including the need for a trained healthcare professional to perform the measurement and the potential for human error.

Automated Blood Pressure Devices

Automated blood pressure devices, on the other hand, use electronic sensors to measure blood pressure without the need for a trained healthcare professional. These devices are designed to be user-friendly, accurate, and reliable, making them an attractive alternative to the standard cuff method. Methodology

In this experiment, six patients were recruited to participate in a comparative analysis of automated blood pressure devices and the standard cuff method. The automated devices used in this study were the Omron M10, the Withings BPM Connect, and the QardioArm. The standard cuff method was performed by a trained healthcare professional using a mercury sphygmomanometer.

Conclusion

In conclusion, this study provides valuable insights into the accuracy and reliability of automated blood pressure devices compared to the standard cuff method. The results of this study suggest that automated blood pressure devices are a viable alternative to the standard cuff method, offering the potential for more efficient and reliable blood pressure monitoring. Limitations
