Effective supplier management is essential for companies to maintain their competitive edge in the market. This study aims to integrate the Analytical Network Process (ANP) and Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluation (Promethee) methods in selecting the best criteria for supplier performance appraisal.

Background of the Study

PT. Inti Jaya Metals is a company that relies heavily on suppliers to provide raw materials for its metal production process. The company's operational continuity depends on the timely and quality supply of raw materials. However, the company faces challenges in selecting the right supplier that can meet its needs. The selection of the right supplier is a critical decision that can affect the company's efficiency and productivity. Supplier selection is a complex process that involves evaluating multiple criteria and sub-criteria to determine the best supplier. This study aims to develop a systematic approach to evaluate supplier performance using the ANP and Promethee methods.

Methodology

This study uses the ANP and Promethee methods to evaluate supplier performance. The ANP method is used to determine the weight of local priorities and global subcriteria, which subsequently functions as an input for the Promethee method to get the best supplier order. The study assesses five suppliers of Cast Iron metal raw materials based on five criteria that have been set and equipped with sixteen sub-criteria. The criteria used to assess suppliers include the ability to fulfill orders, ease in preparing agreements, and the length of delivery time.

Mandiri HR with the highest score of 0.6032. Followed by CV. Anj with a score of -0.0226 and CV. Ponium with a score of -0,1292. These results provide a clear picture of the performance of each supplier and provide a strong foundation for companies in making decisions about suppliers' choices. The results of the study show that CV. Mandiri HR is the best supplier for PT. Inti Jaya Metals based on the criteria used.

The application of the ANP and Promethee method in this study shows that systematic analysis can help PT. Inti Jaya Metals in assessing and choosing the supplier that best suits your needs. By using the specified criteria, the company can objectively determine the supplier that is able to meet the desired standards. In the future, it is hoped that similar research can be conducted for other criteria that can support company decisions in the management of suppliers.
